The international Cyprus Poster Triennial (CPT) is a non-profit institution, aiming to promote and disseminate knowledge and creativity in the field of graphic design, focusing on the poster as an important medium of visual communication. From their earlier appearances in 15th century Europe to the contemporary digital era, posters have been influential not only as vehicles of information, but also as tools responsible for social change, creating awareness on crucial issues, spreading revolutionary (political) ideas and even propaganda. The Cyprus Poster Triennial (CPT) aspires to establish a graphic design event in the Mediterranean in a place that can function, on the one hand, as a bridge between the East and the West, and on the other hand, can bring together designers from all over the world, celebrating the wondrous power of the graphic poster. Surpassing/exceeding all expectations, we have received more than 1300 poster submissions from 48 different countries. The creative individuals — emerging talents, as well as established professionals in the field of graphic design — whose posters have been selected, brilliantly emphasize the strength and importance of the poster as a medium. It is crucial to point out that, in line with CPT policy, material that is deemed offensive with respect to ethnicity, religious views, gender, sexual orientation and physical or mental condition is excluded from the selection process.
